How is Fore Court different?

Fore Court is not your typical fitness center; rather is it a complete, state-of-the-art health, racquet and fitness club. We have eight indoor hard courts, two racquetball courts, two lounge areas w/ bar, a 10,000 square foot fitness center which includes a Group Exercise Room, Cycling room, 2 Nautilus areas, Cardiovascular Equipment, Free Weight & Stretching Areas, Personal Training.

What types of memberships do you offer?

We offer two memberships:

  • Racquet Sports Membership: With this membership, you would pay an annual membership that runs from September 1st to August 31st and may be pro-rated based on the date you join. Tennis Courts & Racquetball Courts are used at extra cost. These memberships are sold with the understanding that the buyer will take part in either tennis or racquetball activities during the year. You must have a Racquet Sports Membership in order to participate in tennis leagues.

  • Everything Fitness Membership: This membership may be prepaid 12 months or be automatically deducted from a credit card or checking account (EFT) with no enrollment, initiation or cancellation fees. Monthly, weekly and daily rates also available. This membership grants you complete use of the Fitness Center; which includes unlimited group exercise classes, unlimited use of the racquetball courts and other use of our 10,000 square foot fitness area. If you are looking to play tennis as well, this membership doubles as a tennis membership.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, you may bring a guest at any time. Our guest fee is $20 per day for fitness or $6.00 plus court fees for tennis or racquetball.

 

What types of equipment does your fitness center offer?

We offer: 10,000 lbs. of free weights, Cybex Arc Trainers, Star Trac Cross Trainers, treadmills, Precor Ellipticals, recumbent bikes, two Nautilus circuits. Racquetball, group exercise classes including, Body Attack, Body Combat, Body Flow, Body Pump, Body Step, Body Vive, RPM, Sh'Bam, Cardio Tennis, SPINNING®, and Yoga.

Do you offer Group Exercise?

Absolutely, Group Exercise is a staple at Fore Court! As one of the first clubs in New England and the only Club in Rhode Island to offer Les Mills classes, our schedule includes over 50 classes per week, including Body Attack, Body Combat, Body Flow, Body Pump, Body Step, Body Vive, RPM, Sh'Bam, Cardio Tennis, SPINNING®, and Yoga.

What do you offer for Youth Tennis?

We offer junior instructional tennis throughout the four seasons including a Summer Tennis Camp which runs weekly during July and August. Our certified tennis pros teach a variety of classes for kids of all ages and have watched members of our junior program develop into all-state high school players, college players, and adults who love the game.

  • Pee Wee Tennis: Students will play on one of our racquetball courts and begin to develop hand/eye coordination while learning the basics of swinging and hitting a soft tennis ball while having tons of fun and laughs! These clinics run a half hour.

  • 10 & Under Tennis: Students will move to the tennis courts and develop their skills in our QuickStart® Tennis Program using specialized equipment including shorter court dimensions, pressure less tennis balls and a modified net.

  • Preset Time Instructional Clinics: Developmental clinics are available based on age and ability. Students will begin to learn how to score and play matches. Four students per court and instructor. Maximum eight students per group. Accommodations may be made for those who have scheduling conflicts with Preset Times.

  • Competitive Training Groups: Competitive Training groups are available for Junior Varsity & Varsity level students. Students will begin to learn the mental side of tennis as well as continue to develop their skills with instruction and match play.

  • Elite Player: This program will focus on improving proper hitting technique to provide students with more powerful and consistent strokes. Drills and match play assist students in building confidence and mental toughness.

What do you offer for Adult Tennis?

We offer both tennis leagues and tennis clinics for adults. Our tennis league season runs 37 weeks between September and May. We offer men’s and ladies singles and men’s, ladies and mixed doubles leagues for players of all ages and abilities. We also offer Private Tennis lessons. Please book in advance. Do you offer Private Tennis Lessons?

Yes, we offer Private, Semi-Private and Group lessons for persons of all ages and ability levels. Prices vary, please book in advance. Discounts apply for prepaid packages.

 

Do you have a Pro Shop?

Yes, we offer racquet stringing, re-gripping and demo tennis racquets. Demos are free to members for use inside the club; however they must be signed out upon use. If you find a racquet you like, you may order it through Fore Court.
